Why Didn’t I Receive My E-Invoice?
- How does FastSpring handle e-invoicing for Taiwan?
FastSpring is fully compliant with Taiwan’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) eGUI and e-invoicing regulations. Taiwanese buyers receive a unique eGUI number on their FastSpring invoice, and the corresponding e-invoice is issued by our partner, ezReceipt.
- When should I expect to receive my e-invoice?
Your e-invoice is typically sent automatically after a successful purchase. If you haven't received it, please check your inbox, including your spam or junk folder, for an email from ezreceipt@gocharm.com.tw.
- What if I didn’t receive my e-invoice?
If you have not received your e-invoice:
- Check your email (including spam/junk folders) for a message from ezReceipt.
- Ensure that your purchase was successfully completed and that the payment went through.
- Verify if your order was tax-exempt —if your order was processed as tax-exempt, you may not receive an e-invoice.
- Try retrieving it via the Consumer Portal—log into FastSpring’s Consumer Portal to check for your invoice.
- Why does entering a VAT ID affect my e-invoice?
If a customer enters a valid VAT ID at checkout, FastSpring automatically exempts them from paying VAT. This is because the buyer takes responsibility for handling VAT on their end.
- If the VAT ID is missing or invalid, VAT is charged, as the buyer is assumed to be an end consumer.
- A VAT ID doesn’t mean a business has to pay tax upfront—it means they are recognized as a taxable entity that handles VAT differently.
- Since FastSpring does not charge VAT when a valid VAT ID is provided, an e-invoice is not issued, as there is no tax amount to report.
- I paid tax but didn’t receive an e-invoice. What should I do?
If you were charged tax but didn’t receive an e-invoice, please:
- Double-check your inbox for an email from ezReceipt.
- Contact ezReceipt directly at ezreceipt@gocharm.com.tw for assistance.
- Reach out to FastSpring’s support team with your order ID for further verification.
- Can I request a reissue of my e-invoice?
Yes, if you haven’t received your e-invoice and believe you should have, please contact ezReceipt or FastSpring support with your order details.
- What if I left the Tax ID field blank?
If you did not enter a Tax ID, FastSpring assumes you are an individual consumer, and VAT is charged accordingly. In this case, you should receive an e-invoice from ezReceipt.
