# When will my customers receive abandoned cart emails and thank-you emails?

* **Abandoned cart emails** are triggered when a customer reaches checkout, enters their email address, but leaves before completing the purchase.
 
* **Thank-you emails **are triggered immediately after a customer successfully completes a purchase.
 
For both types of emails, you can customize the sending time — whether it’s a few minutes, a few hours, or even days after the trigger event.
